DHONI💛
If I got a chance to meet a celebrity, who would it be?
If I'm given this question, obviously I'd have to choose between two options: MSD or Taylor Swift.
But I swear I'd choose MSD.
If I ever loved cricket, it's only because of him.
Such an inspiring human, such a powerful personality.
So ask me the obvious question. Which is my favourite team in the IPL?
Yeah! No doubt it's CSK.
Because Dhoni is in CSK
I'm also a hypocrite who says I love cricket, but the thing is, I love Dhoni more.
I only watch CSK matches. Lol
It was just recently that I noticed that CSK was indeed growing as an emotion in me. Something so dear, so close to heart. Sometimes I myself get confused: is it MSD or CSK? I think now it's become both. MSD was always an emotion for me, and now CSK is too.
It was the playoff matches that made me realise this fact. I've never prayed for winning my exams like I prayed for CSK to win. And when I think about CSK, the first face that comes to mind is his: Dhoni.
I was the happiest person when CSK roared into the finale. And I'd be the most thankful person to the Almighty, as he helped them win.
Ofcourse! What a match it was. I was biting my nails in tension all the while. I longed to watch the finals, and the rain was like,
"I'll take the cup; you sit and wait."
The first day postponed the match; the second day, I thought we were going to lose. but the same rain aided them, I suppose, to a certain extent.
The score was cut short, and so was the ball. When the match restarted after the rain, CSK needed 167 runs from 87 balls. It was 12.10. I felt really sleepy. If it were some of my exams, I'd surely have slept. I wanted to sleep, but I loved MSD more. There was only one thought inside me: "What if we win?" Then I should be awake to watch MSD win. And yeah, I stayed. The match was as thrilling as it has ever been. If I were up at 3 a.m. crying with happiness over the victory of my greatest love, that sleep was worth sacrificing.
Even after a week of writing this, that moment of victory still stays in my mind. To be very frank, GT played incredibly well, so at one point, while I was praying for CSK to win, I really felt sorry for GT.
But with the last two balls, I really thought we were going to lose. Sir Jadeja! Oh! What a game changer! The way he won the game for CSK I was jumping here with joy after that last ball. I was crying. I hope literally everyone who was watching that game might have cried. I still feel that surge of happiness inside me.
And that video of Dhoni taking Jaddu up—what scene was it? I literally cry whenever I watch those reels.
To be very frank, I've never enjoyed a cricket match this much after the finals of the 2011 World Cup.
My love for MSD has now spread all over CSK, its other players, coaches, fans, and the other teams that played with them as well.
I am that person who feels goosebumps when the whole stadium calls out" Dhoni" with their flashes on. It makes me remember the stadium singing "Vanthematharam" at the ending moments of the final match of the 2011 World Cup,the day when Dhoni proved his mastery of making decisions in crucial situations. Yeah! He is indeed a muse, as he made this laziest lady write something for him.
CSK is not a team; it was indeed an emotion, just like MSD.
