The numbness of the long winter nights

The melodious ebb and flow 

Of the echoing Christmas bands,

December stood gorgeous,

In her magical misty gown.

Here starts the countdown

With houses decked in beauty,

Colourful streets gleaming shy,

Under the blazing moon.

Beauty welcomes the  big day,

Rejoicing your ascension

Humble you came,

Showering your grace

Time, mesmerized,

By your perpetual charm

Laid with utmost innocence,

On that strawy lawn, 

Amidst those bleeting lambs

Oh! The resplendence of that night.

But this snow decked season,

I counted days in pain

Battling my agonies of lose.

Reminiscing those graceful days

When we were one.

I longed for a return

Far away from my sins,

To your everlasting Love,

To lie on your peaceful chest

And always be your beloved.
